Nigerian music includes juju, highlife, fuji, afrobeat, apala, gospel, sakara, jazz, reggae, hip hop and much more. But whatever the style, the theme and the focus of the songs are often greatly influenced by the deep traditions of the over 400 cultural groups which make up Nigeria and in equal parts influenced by the numerous global cultures whose products and aesthetics bombard Nigerians daily through the airwaves and in print and other media.
